Some rooms cannot be protected with water. Server rooms, data centres, telecom shelters, control rooms and archives hold equipment and records that water or powder would ruin. For these spaces, a clean agent fire suppression system puts out a fire quickly and leaves nothing behind.
At Jydsol Technologies Limited, we design, supply and install FM200 and Novec 1230 fire suppression systems in Lagos and across Nigeria. Each system works with its own fire detection, so the room is protected automatically, day and night.
How a clean agent system works
Detectors in the protected room watch for smoke and heat. When a fire is confirmed, the release panel sounds an alarm and gives people time to leave, then discharges the agent through nozzles. The agent is released in about 10 seconds and fills the room, putting the fire out before it can spread. Because it is a gas, it reaches inside cabinets and under raised floors, where fires in equipment rooms often start.

FM200 or Novec 1230?
- FM200 (HFC-227ea): a proven clean agent used worldwide for decades. It does not conduct electricity, leaves no residue and is safe for occupied rooms at the designed concentration.
- Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12): a clean agent with a much lower environmental impact. It is stored as a liquid, released as a gas, leaves no residue and is safe for people and equipment at the designed concentration.
Both protect sensitive equipment without water damage. We help you choose the right agent for your room, budget and environmental policy.
Where we install fire suppression systems
- Server rooms and data centres
- Telecom shelters and base stations
- Control rooms and switch rooms
- UPS, battery and electrical rooms
- Archives, libraries and record rooms
- Banks, museums and other high-value spaces
What a complete system includes
- Agent cylinders sized to your room, with valves and brackets
- Discharge pipework and nozzles
- Smoke and heat detection, with two detectors confirming a fire before release
- A release control panel with manual release and abort switches
- Alarms, warning signs and status indicators
- Advice on sealing the room, so the agent stays in long enough to work
How we work
- Site survey: we assess the room, its size, its openings and what it contains.
- Design: we select the agent and design the system to recognised clean agent standards such as NFPA 2001.
- Installation: we supply and install the cylinders, pipework, detection and release panel.
- Commissioning: we test the system and train your staff to use it.
- Maintenance: we carry out regular inspections to keep the system ready.
Frequently asked questions
Is FM200 safe for people?
Yes. At the concentrations used in a correctly designed system, FM200 and Novec 1230 are safe for occupied rooms. The system still sounds an alarm before release, so everyone can leave.
Will the gas damage computers or documents?
No. Both agents do not conduct electricity and leave no residue, so equipment and records are not harmed and there is no water or powder to clean up.
Can a fire suppression system work with my fire alarm?
Yes. We connect the release panel to your fire alarm system, so the whole building is alerted when the suppression system operates.
How often should the system be serviced?
We recommend an inspection at least every six months, checking cylinder pressure and contents, detectors, the release panel and the room itself.
